M-othering

One could suggest that we are living in metaphor all the time. Consciously and unconsciously, we couple meaning to objects, values to beings. Metaphor could be viewed then, as a form of projection. And projections, are relational tools we are utilizing all the time to get our desires met. Relying on poetry, projection, and metaphor, my intention with my performance piece M-othering is to ask myself and audience to question the ways in which we project our values and desires onto other people. And how does this struggle for self-regulation and self-containment play out in our relationships with natural resources?
